Who is LIA?

Ian and Karen Gregory bring more than 40 years of education and experience to the programs they create. They foster an engaging, passionate, and enjoyable atmosphere with each session they deliver. Their complimentary perspectives and experience combine into a singular passion: to share their understanding of effective leadership and promote individual and organizational growth and success.

Ian brings decades of leadership experience shaped by high-stakes environments where clarity, accountability, and trust matter most. His background in fire and rescue administration and training has allowed him to lead and make decisions in critical situations—where leadership is tested in real time.

In addition to his work as a first responder and training officer, Ian spent more than 25 years as a successful soccer coach, most recently at the collegiate level, leading teams to championships at every stage. Coaching reinforced a core belief that carries into his leadership work today: great leaders develop people, not just outcomes. His approach emphasizes discipline, emotional intelligence, and the responsibility leaders carry for the culture they create.

Karen’s leadership experience spans fire and healthcare administration, banking, real estate, and entrepreneurship—giving her a broad, practical perspective on leadership across industries. With an academic foundation in business administration, she has spent her career helping individuals and organizations strengthen leadership effectiveness through clarity, structure, and intentional development.

Karen has been recognized throughout her career for her team leadership and administrative accomplishments, but her passion lies in helping leaders grow into roles with confidence and self-awareness. She brings a thoughtful, people-centered approach to leadership development, focusing on communication, accountability, and the day-to-day behaviors that shape strong teams and healthy organizations.
